Support > What happened to the forums?
After much debate, we have decided to close down the forums in favor of a richer and ongoing set of articles as part of a "knowledge base" here in the support area.
Unfortunately, the administrative overhead of trying to keep up with the spammers proved to be taking up too much of our time, and required increasingly restrictive policies that annoyed current and potential forum users. We'd rather spend our time making our products better and helping you guys out directly than deleting spam posts and constantly updating to the new spam prevention technology of the week. Most of the non-spam posts were simply support questions, and we continue to field such questions by email, and are happy to hear from you.
We'd like to thank those of you that contributed substantial material to the forums. We hope to be able to continue integrating that kind of material in the knowledge base, and if you're so inclined to author a piece, we'll ensure that you get full credit on the page.
